After the Equivalence of Technology (EoT) changes recently announced by the Endurance Committee, the non hybrid LMP1 competitors were just 1 second behind the leading hybrid Toyota, with the no11 SMP Racing BR1-AER the best of the six runners. Jenson Button set a 1m26.890 lap, 0.261 seconds ahead of the no1 Rebellion R13-Gibson.

Ford were the quickest of the five LMGTE manufacturers with the no66 Ford GT of Stefan Mucke posting a 1m38.555, just ahead of the two Porsche 911 RSRs.  The no91 911 of Gianmaria Bruni was the quickest of the two Porsches, with the Italian lapping in a 1m38.819, with Michael Christensen in the no92 Porsche setting a 1m38.996.

The no28 TDS Racing Oreca-Gibson of Matthieu Vaxiviere was the fastest of the seven LMP2 entrants, the French driver posting a 1m30.360, 1.2 seconds ahead of the second fastest car the no38 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca.  The no31 Dragonspeed Oreca was third fastest after Anthony Davidson posted a 1m31.705, 0.1 seconds behind the no38 Oreca.

Pedro Lamy set the fastest time in the LMGTE AM category at the chequered flag, the Portuguese driver putting the no98 Aston Martin Racing Vantage at the top of the class with a 1m39.763, pushing the no77 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche into second place by 0.162 seconds.
