19.04.25

The Automobile Association of Brazil (AAB)  collaborates with the HÄMY Project by providing sustainable mobility solutions to enhance healthcare access for Indigenous communities in Maranhão. The HÄMY Project, a public-private health initiative endorsed by the Brazilian Ministries of Health and Indigenous Peoples, aims to deliver cancer care and preventive services to over 43,700 Indigenous people in Maranhão. AAB’s involvement by integrating solar-power and electric vehicles equipped for telemedicine, mobile diagnostics, and vaccination to the project overcomes logistical barriers, reduces wait times for cancer care, and collects valuable data for automotive innovation in extreme conditions. This contribution with vehicles, infrastructure, data sharing, and route planning solutions, aims to promote sustainable innovation with social impact.
