FIA European Baja Cup
FIA European Baja Cup
The FIA European Baja Cup has been expanded to nine rounds for 2025 with competitors able to choose seven counting events. This should increase the popularity of the series, cut costs and enable competitors to pick and choose their programme for the season.
The Iberian Peninsula hosts four of the Bajas with Turkey, Greece, Italy, Hungary and Poland completing the calendar.
Action gets underway with Spain’s Baja TT Dehesa Extremadura on May 1st-3rd before Turkey’s Baja Troia switches from a November date at the end of the season to May 15th-18th.
Baja Greece will then double up as a round of both the FIA World and European Baja Cups on May 29th-June 1st. Likewise, the Italian Baja will host both championships on July 3rd-5th. The Teruel-based Baja Spain Aragón will also be a counting round of both Baja series on July 24th-27th, although competitors can only register and score points in one of the Cups.
The Hungarian Baja retains its traditional August (14th-17th) slot in the calendar and precedes the Szczecin-based Baja Poland on August 28th-31st.
Portugal will then host the final two rounds of the series: Baja TT Sharish Reguengos Mourã will run on September 12th-14th and Baja Portalegre 500 will wrap up the European calendar on October 23rd-25th.
Titles are awarded to overall Drivers and Co-drivers, Teams, Ultimate Drivers and Co-drivers and Challenger, SSV and Stock Drivers and Co-drivers.
As per the FIA World Cup, the points-scoring process has been revised for 2025.
