ETRC - Lacko and Korber celebrate Sunday Victories at Le Mans
ETRC - 2017 Race of Le Mans - Race 3 & 4
Adam Lacko and Gerd Körber took a win each after another pair of action-packed races at Le Mans Bugatti today.
In front of a captivated crowd of 55,100 people the pair drove supreme races to take the silverware for Buggyra International Racing system and Team Schwabentruck Iveco respectively.
Lacko’s victory ensured he heads to Jarama with a 45-point advantage over rival Jochen Hahn with 60 to play for.
After the races this weekend only these two drivers can be crowned champion in Spain after Norbert Kiss and Steffi Halm can now not mathematically challenge for the championship despite some strong results in France.
Race 3
Adam Lacko took his 12th win of the season at Le Mans Bugatti this afternoon after snatching the lead at the first corner in his Buggyra International Racing System run Freightliner. It was the perfect way to celebrate his 33rd birthday!
The Czech champion elect was able to hold-off the determined SL Trucksport MAN driven by Sascha Lenz, who pressured Lacko all the way to the chequered flag and finish just over one second behind his rival.
Lenz, who took pole position for the race, was desperate to win his first FIA ETRC event but will have to wait another day after just being denied by Lacko.
The top four of Lacko, Lenz, Jochen Hahn (Hahn Racing Iveco) and Norbert Kiss (Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz) broke free of fifth placed Steffi Halm who didn’t seem to enjoy the same pace as she had yesterday.
The quartet circulated nose-to-tail for the final half of the race but none of them were able to make a move on their direct rivals.

Race 4
Gerd Körber took victory in Race Four at Le Mans Bugatti to banish the disappointment of losing out on the last lap in yesterday’s Race Two.
The experienced German, who’s last race victory here at the same circuit 11 years ago, celebrated a superb victory after holding off Steffi Halm during a close contest.
The Team Schwabentruck Iveco driver resisted race long pressure from the Reinert Racing MAN driver to take a hugely popular win.
Halm tried desperately to find a way passed her fellow German, but had to settle for second position to round out another excellent weekend of results.
Körber led away from the front row of the grid, as he got the jump on pole man Andre Kursim, who slipped down the order quickly.
Halm also found her way passed Kursim and also Sascha Lenz who had made a spectacular, but illegal, start.
There were some excellent battles in the opening exchanges as Lenz came under massive pressure for third position.
