Pan-European Medical Drone Network - Saving Lives Beyond Borders [TCS, Switzerland]

19.04.25

In October 2024, ANWB (The Netherlands), ÖAMTC (Austria) and TCS (Switzerland) conducted simultaneous medical drone flights in three countries, operated from a single operations centre in The Hague; a world first. This project improves the delivery of medical material and reduces the pressure on healthcare systems. A multi-country drone network enables cost-effective operations through economies of scale not possible for single-country operations, supporting hospitals and medical laboratories and improving patient care through innovative logistics. The project also serves as a blueprint for future collaborative mobility projects.
