Formula 1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Valtteri Bottas promoted the campaign’s messages on road safety, along with Oliver Schmerold, ÖAMTC Director and Werner Kraus, ÖAMTC President and FIA Foundation Trustee. FIA President Jean Todt also delivered a video message calling for further joint efforts to improve road safety both in Austria and globally.

4 key messages featuring global celebrities will be shown on billboards across Austria for the next 2 weeks: “Don't text and drive”, “Buckle up”, “Never drink and drive”, and “Use a child safety seat”. This campaign aims to raise awareness of the 3,500 lives that are lost every day across the world due to road fatalities, and encourage all road users to adopt the FIA’s Golden Rules. So far, the campaign has been displayed in over 650 cities across more than 55 countries, and upon completion, it will have been displayed in over 700 cities across 70 countries.
