Gathering FIA Mobility Regions III and IV Clubs from all over the Americas, the two-day training session aimed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle key road safety challenges and drive positive change.

The Touring and Automobile Club of Iran (TACI) recently conducted a “Rescue and Relief Services” workshop designed to enhance the skills and preparedness of its roadside assistance patrol teams. Attended by approximately 80 patrolmen, the workshop aimed to improve technical knowledge and safety measures critical for providing effective roadside assistance during accidents and vehicle breakdowns.

Last week, FIA Head of Road Safety and Advocacy Luca Pascotto presented the FIA’s road safety work at Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress in Barcelona.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina Automobile Club (BIHAMK) has successfully implemented the ‘Drive in the Moment’ campaign with the support of the FIA Safe and Sustainable Mobility Grants Programme, funded by the FIA Foundation.

The FIA and IRU will host eco-driving awareness sessions for 5,000 public bus and taxi drivers in Baku, Azerbaijan, ahead of COP29. Drivers will then be continuously assessed using the FIA Smart Driving Challenge app. The activation aims to help reduce emissions at the world’s biggest climate conference.

The Automobile Club of Moldova (ACM) actively participated in this year’s European Mobility Week, an annual initiative by the European Commission aimed at promoting behavioral change in favour of eco-friendly transport options, such as walking, cycling, and public transport. The 2024 theme, "Public Space for All," encouraged communities to explore healthier and more sustainable ways to get around.

FIA Head of Road Safety and Global Advocacy Luca Pascotto joined FIA Members to present the FIA Road Safety Index at  the Asia Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO) Annual Meeting and Singapore Road Safety Awards and Road Safety Seminar and engage private sector stakeholders in the region.

With support from the FIA Safe and Sustainable Mobility Grants Programme, funded by the FIA Foundation, AIP Foundation has officially launched the 'Ride Safe – Bike Safety' program in Gia Lai province, Vietnam. This initiative aims to improve cycling safety for students commuting to school while promoting sustainable transportation solutions.

The Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club (ÖAMTC) is celebrating 70 years of its roadside assistance service. Since 1954, the ÖAMTC’s iconic "Yellow Angels" have been delivering fast and reliable support to millions of drivers across Austria. Over the past seven decades, the club has continually adapted its services to meet the evolving needs of its members, becoming a key player in ensuring safe and sustainable mobility.

The 5th edition of the International Best Young Driver Contest was held from 4-6 October in Nivelles, Belgium.
