The third and final practice session for the 4 Hours of Silverstone took place this morning with the no8 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050 Hybrid ahead of the rest of the 31 car field, with the no51 AF Corse Ferrari leading in the LMGTE Pro category.

In the second practice session of the 4 Hours of Silverstone weekend the no7 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050 Hybrid finished with the fastest time of the day, with Kamui Kobayashi posting a 1m36.874 lap of the 3.6-mile Silverstone GP circuit, 0.826s ahead of the no8 Toyota.

The 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship season got underway at Silverstone with the first 90-minute Free Practice session of the 4 Hours of Silverstone. There was a short delay to the start of the session due to barrier repairs following an accident at Stowe Corner in the earlier ELMS Free Practice.

The 22-year-old driver is one of a growing band of young talent who are choosing a career path in endurance racing rather than single seaters.

The 2018/19 FIA World Endurance Championship was successful for French driver Kevin Estre and his Danish teammate Michael Christensen. Racing the Porsche 911 RSR the Franco-Danish pairing took seven podiums from the eight races in the Super Season, including two wins at Fuji Speedway and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2018.
