The no7 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050 Hybrid of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez took their second victory of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship with a dominant win at the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain. The no7 Toyota finished over a lap ahead of their teammates Brendon Hartley, Kazuki Nakajima and Sebastien Buemi and three laps ahead of the third placed no1 Rebellion Racing R13-Gibson.

At the end of the 20-minute LMP qualifying session it was Rebellion Racing who will start at the head of the field for the second race in a row after claiming the overall pole position for tomorrows Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain. It was a Porsche 1-2 in LMGTE Pro with the no91 911 RSR-19 at the head of the GT grid.

After a year away the FIA World Endurance Championship makes a welcome return to the Bahrain International Circuit for the first 8 Hour race of the 2019/20 season. An additional entry in the LMP2 category by former class champions G-Drive Racing brings the total number of cars entered for the race up to thirty-one for the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain on Saturday 14 December.
