TACP Empowers a New Generation of Motorsport Officials through Online Training

07.04.25

The Touring y Automóvil Club del Perú (TACP) has successfully launched the first week of its free online training programme, designed to equip and inspire the next generation of motorsport officials in Peru.

Held from 24–30 March via Google Meet, the sessions welcomed 228 participants from Peru and abroad—including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Spain. The initiative, led by the TACP Motorsport Commission (CDA), reflects a strong regional interest in motorsport and a growing demand for formal training.

The opening session featured special guest Ramón Ferreyros, a renowned Peruvian rally driver, who inspired attendees by sharing insights from his racing career and highlighting the importance of well-trained officials in motorsport development.

“In the first week of training, our Motorsport Commission successfully trained 228 people,” said Ennio Cornejo, TACP Analyst and lead for the programme’s sporting education. “This course is not only a gateway to obtaining a TACP sport license, but also a first step in building professional pathways in motorsport.”

Participants who complete the training receive a certificate qualifying them to begin their officiating journey and benefit from a range of exclusive opportunities, including:

  • A 12-month iRacing membership
  • Access to an eLearning platform with additional free courses
  • Discounts on karting sessions and simracing equipment

Already, 66 students have entered the certification process under the guidance of Ricardo Urday, TACP Sport Instructor.

“The great reception of this course reflects the growing interest in motorsport and the importance of continuing to train new talents who contribute to its development in the country,” said Juan Dibos, TACP Sport Manager.

TACP has announced a second round of live online training sessions, to be held in Spanish from 19:00–21:00 (Lima time, GMT-5) on the following dates:
