ACI #Blindside Road Safety Campaign empowers millions to embrace a culture of safety on the roads
On November 19th, in a strategic move coinciding with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, the Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) has launched #Blindside—a proactive and engaging road safety public awareness campaign.
The campaign's powerful message, "Safety is a thin line… don’t cross it," is visually represented by a thin line separating safe mobility from the potential hazards that lead to road accidents.
The visual narrative extends across various modes of transport, including scooters, bicycles, motorbikes, and cars. On one side, vehicles stand in pristine condition, while the other portrays the potential aftermath of road accidents.
Named for its emphasis on blind spots, #Blindside serves as a reminder for road users to adhere to traffic rules and be vigilant against behaviors that may lead to breaches of the Highway Code.
The campaign's content development leverages cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems for clarity and conciseness, ensuring messages are impactful without unnecessary distractions, making it ideal for dissemination across social media platforms.
Commenting on #Blindside, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, President of the Automobile Club d’Italia, said: “Education is key in the fight against road accidents, which in 2022 caused more than 3,000 fatalities in Italy.
This is why over the past five years ACI has carried out more than 40 awareness-raising campaigns across major social platforms. Each campaign has reached a minimum of one million people—an achievement worth acknowledging in the relentless pursuit of road safety.”
