FIA Member Club Magyar Autoklub (Hungary) has completed its “Stress-Free Mobility” project.

First launched in 2023, the project aims to educate drivers on how to handle tricky or stressful situations calmly, with the aim of reducing road traffic fatalities and injuries.

MAK chose to spread the message through a number of different national events and activities including:

• Four Road Shows in four different cities. 180 students took part in the events, which provided education and guidance on how to deal with on-road challenges.
• A micromobility skill competition. The two-stage competition included a theory test, and a practical competition. 75 participants completed the first step, with the top twenty invited to MAK HQ to test their skills in practice.
• A Stress-free Mobility Conference. 10 leading national and international experts spoke at the event, which was held at the Crowne Plaza Budapest Hotel in front of a hundred-strong audience.
• A Stress-free Mobility Workshop. Participants had the opportunity to try out electric cars, scooters and bicycles from some of the country’s leading micro- and electric mobility companies.

In addition to strong attendance figures, the programme received significant media attention, with 26 articles published in Hungarian national media.
