“Here when you make a good start you’ve almost won the race,” smiled the Italian. “It’s not always easy to overtake drivers you’re lapping especially when they’re battling among themselves. The most difficult period of the race for me was the six laps I spent behind Roy Nissany (kftzeile24 Mücke Motorsport) trying to find a way past. It’s a draw between Alex and me today, but I’ve increased my lead over Felix Rosenqvist (kftzeile24 Mücke Motorsport) so that’s very positive.” 

 

The Ferrari Driver Academy protégé’s sixth victory of the season has consolidated his no.1 spot in the overall classification. Behind him the gap between Lynn and Rosenqvist has closed even further as only 2.5 points now separate them. 

 

“There are no excuses, Raffaele made a better start than me and he then controlled his race well,” analysed Lynn with a certain lucidity. "He deserved this victory. Bravo to him and the Prema Powerteam, which scored another triple. I still have another chance tomorrow by starting from pole again. We’re going to try and find out this evening where we’re losing ground to Raffaele.”

 

“The secret of the Prema Powerteam? It’s a combination of several parameters,” continued the English driver. “Us four drivers are evenly matched and that creates really good competition in the heart of a super team. We all work very well together with our engineers. By analysing each one’s data we manage to create the perfect lap and together we’re just getting stronger and stronger.” 

 

Behind the Prema Powerteam triple, Sven Müller (ma-con), Felix Rosenqvist, Tom Blomqvist (Eurointernational), Harry Tincknell (Carlin), Josh Hill (Fortec Motorsports), William Buller (ThreeBond with T-Sport) and Jann Mardenborough (Carlin) shared the remaining points. British drivers made the most of the situation on home soil with six in the top 10.

 

Alex Lynn, Raffaele Marciello and Lucas Auer will again fill the first three places on tomorrow’s grid for the final battle of the weekend. While they want to make it a perfect threesome, their rivals don’t see things that way!
