FIA Motorsport Games - The key facts and figures

Medals aplenty will be up for grabs when the third FIA Motorsport Games takes place in Valencia, Spain, from October 23-27.

First held in 2019, the FIA Motorsport Games was created to unite FIA Member Clubs from around the world in a one-of-a-kind multidisciplinary competition.

Participants compete for bronze, silver, and gold medals while proudly representing their national colours across myriad motor sport disciplines.

As Wednesday evening’s Opening Ceremony approaches, here are some essential facts and figures.

82: FIA Members Clubs from 82 nations will be represented over the four days of competition.


17: Of the 82 nations competing in the FIA Motorsport Games, 17 are doing so for the first time. They are Angola, Antigua & Barbuda, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Botswana, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Kyrgystan, Lebanon, Namibia, Philippines, Qatar, Trinidad & Tobago and Uruguay.

646: Athletes are expected to take part in the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games.

26: Medals in 26 disciplines are up for grabs, an increase of 10 compared to the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games in Marseille. Host nation Spain has athletes competing in all 26 disciplines.


126: A total of 126 medals have been produced to award the successful FIA Motorsport Games athletes.

5: While Valencia is hosting the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games, activities take place at five venues in and around the city. Circuit Ricardo Tormo hosts Auto Slalom, Circuit Racing, Drifting, Karting Slalom and Rally. The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is the home of Esports F4 and Esports GT and will also stage this evening’s Opening Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony on Sunday. The Aspar Circuit is gearing up as the venue for Cross Car and Karting. The gravel Rally stages are located in Utiel and its surroundings with the Tarmac stages based in Cortes.

60: No discipline has attracted more entries than Esports F4, which can count on a sky-high 60 participants.

2000: The Formula 4 gold medal winner will receive a voucher from Racing Force Group for €2000. Racing Force Group specialises in driver protection and performance products.


8: Two eight-year-olds will contest the FIA Motorsport Games in Cross Car Mini, Merel Hoogstra and Lena Straub. Lena is one month younger than Merel so is the youngest competitor taking part in Valencia aged eight years, one month and 13 days.

70: While Straub is the youngest competitor, Swede Kjell Fransson, who drives a Category 3 Alpine-Renault A310 V6 in Historic Rally, is the oldest. Fransson will be 70 years and 23 days old when Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences hosts the Ceremonial Start this evening.

2: Two places to watch the FIA Motorsport Games are the FIA and FIA Motorsport Games YouTube channels.

1: There will be one winning FIA Member Club crowned on Sunday during the Closing Ceremony at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
