Bahrain’s FIA Motorsport Games participation with a difference explained
It’s not just the 82 Member Clubs going for medal glory that are taking part in the FIA Motorsport Games.
The Bahrain Motor Federation is participating in the Valencia showcase as an exhibitor in the FIA Motorsport Games ASN Village housed within the Circuit Ricardo Tormo paddock.
An area for FIA Member Club representatives to meet, greet and promote their various activities and initiatives, the FIA Motorsport Games ASN Village is also being used by athletes to gather in between competing.
Along with the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Israel Automobile and Karting Association, Japan Automobile Federation, Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, Real Federacion Española de Automovilismo and Slovak Association of Motor Sport are exhibiting in the FIA Motorsport Games ASN Village.
Atharie Al Salem from the Bahrain Motor Federation explained its role and objectives for the FIA Motorsport Games: “We’re here to promote the excitement of motor sport in Bahrain. We’re a very, very active federation. We have races all season long and we have one of the top tracks in the Middle East so we’re here to promote it and make ourselves known.
“When people come to our stand we give them an opportunity to try out a simulated version of the track in a McLaren and give them a chance to experience the track. We give visitors some merchandise and we’ve even introduced people to our cuisine.
“We have a film that explains what the Bahrain Motor Federation does, marshal training, stewards training, karting, all the races throughout the year. It’s the epitome of teamwork shown on our screens. Hopefully whoever visits our booth feels the excitement of being in Bahrain. There is also a competition to win a trip for two to the 2025 Gulf Air Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix.”
