FIA Secretary General for Automobile Mobility and Tourism Jacob Bangsgaard joined Region III Clubs for a meeting in Saskatoon, Canada ahead of the CAA annual meeting.

The session included updates on the FIA University, FIA Innovation Challenge, FIA Road Safety Index, Funding programmes available for FIA Clubs and Regions, and upcoming FIA events.

Delegates from Canada, Dominican Republic, Belize, Trinidad and Tobacco, Jamaica, Cayman Island, Cuba, and Bahamas were in attendance.

FIA Region III President Frank Fotia and Region III Coordinator Helen Dunlop had prepared the programme as part of a wider overview on CAA and North American activity at the CAA Annual Meeting, which took place during the same week.

CAA’s meeting boasted a packed agenda – including workshops, panels, and talks - in celebration of FIA Deputy President for Mobility and CEO and President of CAA Tim Sherman’s 20 years of service at CAA National.

Jacob Bangsgaard also participated in a panel discussion on bringing value to members and fostering growth among Regions and Member Clubs as part of the meeting.

Region III will hold its next meeting in Lima, Peru, in August.
