Embracing Diversity and Inclusion: TACI empowers women in motor sport

Female Iranian motorcyclist, Maryam Talaie, made history at the 2023 FIVA World Motorcycle Rally in Brunn am Gebrige, Austria, as she shone brightly among her peers. Selected as the most outstanding rider, Maryamrepresented the Historic Vehicle Association of Iran (HVAI) and the Touring and Automobile Club of Iran (TACI) Women's Group, showcasing her remarkable skills and determination.

As the Head of the TACI Women's Group and a partner of HVAI, Maryam has been tirelessly working to encourage women's participation in the motoring sector, whether it be motorcycles or cars. 

Her involvement in the historical motorcycle rally opened up a new avenue for her to inspire others and attract more female enthusiasts to this field.

Maryam's participation in the TT Rally, alongside 120 riders from diverse countries like Ukraine and Canada, was particularly significant as it marked the first time an Iranian rider had joined a FIVA World Rally. Her presence symbolised the rally's broader purpose of fostering solidarity and unity among people and nations.

Maryam's journey reinforces the importance of diversity and inclusion in the pursuit of shared passions and serves as a beacon of hope for aspiring female riders around the globe, proving that skill and determination can overcome any barriers.
