International Court of Appeal: Decision hearing 20 December

The following hearing of the International Court of Appeal took place in Paris on Friday 20 December 2013:
 
Appeal lodged by the Automobile Club d’Italia-Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana (ACI-CSAI) on behalf of its licence-holder, Tony Kart Racing Team, against decision N°26 of the panel of the Stewards dated 23 November 2013 – Event run in Bahrain and counting towards the 2013 CIK-FIA KF Junior World Championship
 
On 23 November 2013 the panel of the stewards decided to impose a 10 second time penalty to the kart N° 137 (driver Nikita Mazepin) in accordance with articles 2.24 of the CIK-FIA regulations and 153 of the FIA International Sporting Code, for having left the track at MP10 and taken advantage by overtaking two other karts outside the track limit.
 
The Automobile Club d’Italia-Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana (ACI-CSAI) on behalf of its licence-holder, Tony Kart Racing Team, decided to appeal this decision before the International Court of Appeal
 
Decision of the International Court of Appeal
 
The Court, after having heard the parties and examined their submissions, decided to uphold the Decision n°26 of the Stewards of the Bahrain event counting towards the 2013 CIK-FIA KF Junior World Championship.
 
The International Court of Appeal was presided over by Mr Harry DUIJM (Netherlands), and included Mr Vassilis KOUSSIS (Greece), Mr Dieter ROSSKOPF (Germany) and Mr Jan STOVICEK (Czech Republic).
