The following hearing of the International Court of Appeal will take place in Paris:

Hearing

Appeal brought by the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) on behalf of the competitor Toyota Gazoo Racing against decision No. 55 dated 7 May 2016, taken by the stewards of the Spa-Francorchamps competition counting towards the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship

On 7 May 2016, during the 6 Hours of Spa‐Francorchamps, the Stewards noted that, on the basis of a report sent by the timekeeper, driver Kazuki Nakajima, Car No. 5 of Toyota Gazoo Racing (LPM1 hybrid category), only drove for 30 minutes, 49 seconds and 167 milliseconds throughout the Competition.

Taking into account that the sporting Regulations require a minimum driving time of 40 minutes for the drivers in this category, the Stewards decided to impose a time-penalty equal to the missing driving time (i.e. 9 minutes and 10 seconds) converted into a 4-lap penalty.

On 10 May 2016, Toyota Gazoo Racing decided to appeal the decision No. 5 taken by the Stewards of the Spa-Francorchamps competition.
