ACI UNVEILS CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM CAMPAIGN POSTER
In 2019, Italian Club ACI will take part in the FIA Child Safety Global programme drive for Child Restraint Systems.
Next month, as part of the FIA Child Safety Global programme a number of European FIA Clubs will be involved in promoting the collection of used child restraints systems for shipping to Eastern Europe. In Belarus and Moldova, the Belarusian Auto Moto Touring Club (BKA) and the Automobile Club of Moldova (ACM) have set up a donation platform for low income families that can’t afford to buy a new child safety seat.
The initiative is supported by the FIA Rod Safety Grants Programme and is intended to create a solidarity bridge between Clubs, in support of child safety work.
The Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI) will be the first Club to initiate the project in Rome on 15 December. Undertaken in cooperation with the City Hall of Rome, the initiative will involve the local communities, associations (social centres, local tourist information agencies, green associations) and childhood institutions such as kindergartens, schools, etc.
The seat collection will be preceded by an ad campaign on billboards, newsletters, social networks, the ACI website, in ‘collection centres’ at local associations, and via city street events. The events will be a vehicle for public information about the project, in order to direct donors to permanent collection centres.
Early next year, the Touring Club Suisse (TCS), the Österreichische Automobil-, Motorrad- und Touringclub (OEAMTC) and the Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB will continue the efforts, expanding the donation programme in Switzerland, Austria, and The Netherlands .
