This weekend, at the 2019 HKT Hong Kong E-Prix, many Formula E fans and families visited the FIA stand and supported the FIA Golden Rules for Road.

The FIA stand in the E-Village of the E-Prix aimed at raising awareness on the number of people who lose their lives on the road every day and on the role everyone can play in reducing this number. A part of the stand was dedicated to the #3500LIVES Global Road Safety Campaign which invites all road users to take action by following the FIA Golden Rules for Road Safety.

Supported by 15 famous ambassadors from sport, music and film, the campaign has been deployed in over 80 countries and is currently displayed in Hong Kong.

The stand also focused on the “Use a Child Safety Seat" rule embodied by Actress, Producer and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Michelle Yeoh. Visitors were invited to support the use of child restraint systems and the FIA’s Manifesto for Global Road Safety calling for a scaling up of global efforts on road safety. The stand was interactive, allowing visitors to take their photo, print their own #3500LIVES picture, and share it on a dedicated wall.

To further raise awareness on the necessity to protect children travelling in cars, the FIA stand also featured a section on the FIA Global Programme for Child Safety activated in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Automobile Association. Thanks to a display of child safety seats, visitors learnt more on how to choose and use a child safety seat properly.
