- The top ten competitors will advance to a multi-day live final at the 2025 FIA General Assemblies and Conference in Macau
- Esports play a key role in the FIA’s mission to double global participation in motor sport

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, has today announced an all-new global Esports competition designed to find the world’s best female racing talent.
Run in partnership with global sim racing leader iRacing, and the FIA’s official supplier for professional SIM racing installations, Advanced Simracing, the competition is open to women aged 16 and above, regardless of their motor sport background or geographic location.
Selections will be made via an online qualification, with the top ten performers invited to compete in an in-person, multi-day final at the 2025 FIA Extraordinary General Assemblies Week in Macau. Finalists will also gain insight into the broader motor sport industry through media training workshops and exclusive networking opportunities.
Burcu Çetinkaya, FIA Women in Motorsport Commission Chair, said: “The FIA is committed to doubling motor sport participation and driving opportunities for women and girls. Esports allow us to reach broader, younger audiences—especially those with untapped talent or those with limited access to traditional motor sport pathways. I look forward to meeting our finalists – and recognising our winner – at the event in Macau.”
Esports are an increasingly important part of the FIA’s grassroots development programme. Last year, the Federation added an Esports Appendix (Appendix E) to the International Sporting Code, enabling National Sporting Authorities (ASNs) to regulate and manage national and international competitions. The FIA has also supported numerous regional Esports events, welcomed a record 117 Esports participants at the FIA Motorsport Games, and driven further uptake by offering 12-month iRacing subscriptions to Member Clubs (new accounts only).
Niroshan Pereira, FIA Esports Commission President, said: “We know that Esports is the future – but for the discipline to truly grow and develop, we need to encourage more girls and women to get involved. We hope that this competition will act as a catalyst, encouraging aspiring racers to try out our discipline and consider pursuing a career in motorsport.”
The online round of the competition is now open. Drivers will be able to set their fastest lap times until 6 May 00:00 GMT.
