The toolkit, which is available here, aims to support our Member Clubs in:

• learning more about the impact of vision on road safety, with country profiles. Clubs are encouraged to submit data to complete the existing profiles with further information.
• taking action and developing activities on these topics via the "Take Action!" section of the website. This section provides Clubs with the material they need to promote vision checks and even perform them. 

Furthermore, Essilor, as a Global Partner of the FIA Action for Road Safety campaign can provide local support on these actions. Tentative collaborations are still underway through our Clubs in Italy, Mexico, Belgium, and Spain.

This toolkit builds on the FIA’s “Check Your Vision” Golden Rule which encourages all road users to check their vision regularly and wear appropriate glasses on the road. Indeed, vision is critical to the decisions road users make on the road and poor vision can notably increase their reaction time, putting themselves and others at risk. Moreover, public awareness is low and access to quality eyeglasses remains limited in many regions of the world.
