Driving Motorsport Participation: 4th China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Festival

The 4th China Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Festival, co-hosted by the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China (CAMF), Geely Holding Group, Mintimes and the People's Government of Daqing, took place from August 28 to September 1, 2024, in Daqing Racing Town, China. This event reaffirmed its position as an important part of the motorsports calendar in China.

The 2024 edition featured 248 drivers competing in a diverse range of events, including the China Drifting Championship, China Touring Car Super Cup & TCR China Challenge, Formula 4 China Challenge, MINTIMES GP KTM X-BOW CUP, China Off-Road Championship, Motorcycle X-Trial, and the combined China Motocross and Junior Motocross Championships, showcasing exceptional talent across various motorsport disciplines.

The festival attracted a strong audience, with an estimated 8,000 spectators attending per day, both on-site and through various media platforms, showcasing the event’s growing popularity. Approximately 500 marshals, including 150 women, ensured the smooth execution of the event, reflecting the high standards of professionalism and organisation.

CAMF President Mr. Zhan Guojun said: “This festival plays a vital role in advancing China’s automotive and motorcycle sports sectors. It serves as an essential platform for promoting technological innovation and fostering industry collaboration. Additionally, it significantly contributes to Daqing’s economic development and strengthens its position as a premier venue for future motorsports events."

The 4th edition of the festival further reinforced the integration of sports, culture, and community, offering a unique experience to local residents and motorsports enthusiasts alike.
