Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship returns this weekend with the highlight of the season, the International ADAC Truck Grand Prix held at the Nürburgring, which marks the mid-point of the eight-round season

Championship leader Norbert Kiss looks forward to another strong weekend to continue his march towards his fifth title and extend his lead over the likes of Jochen Hahn, Sascha Lenz and Antonio Albacete.

Hahn, despite securing a pair of second places in Poland, hasn’t won a race since the season-opening event at Misano and will be looking forward to ending his winless run of results on home ground. Following a weekend of mixed fortunes last time out in Poznań, Albacete is now fourth in the championship standings, only two points off third-placed Lenz and 19 off Hahn. He also will be looking forward to bouncing back at the Nürburgring.

Jamie Anderson and Steffi Halm, who secured their first podiums of 2023 in Poznań, will also be hoping to add more silverware to their collections this weekend. The pair are in a battle for fourth in the championship with André Kursim. Halm is just 19 points behind the German whilst Anderson, having missed the first event of the season, trails him by 33 points.

IVECO ELECTRIC TRUCK HEADLINING OFF-TRACK ACTION
Off track, the event is also a host to one of the biggest transport and commercial vehicle industry exhibitions in Germany. On the occasion of the event, the world's first all-electric race truck, built by Jochen Hahn’s team, was unveiled.

Hahn’s prototype truck is Goodyear FIA ETRC’s first foray into the world of electric-powered vehicles after the FIA World Motor Sport Council approved opening series’ technical regulations to all-electric and hybrid powertrains alongside the current generation of combustion engine race trucks.
