The FIA Community pays tribute to Francesco Longanesi Cattani, passed away at the age of 70. He was for 10 years Director of the External Relations department at the FIA.

Multilingual globe trotter, motor sport enthusiast, involved in Formula 1 and Rally with passion and dedication, he was also a great figure in the world of sailing and particularly in the America's cup through which he has achieved success and recognition.

The FIA will remember him with affection and esteem. All our thoughts are with his family and friends.
