Jean-Eric Vergne (TECHEETAH) made it two days in a row as the fastest driver at the final pre-season test at Donington Park. In the process, Vergne, along with Sebastien Buemi (Renault e.Dams), broke the unofficial lap record around the Donington Park GP circuit on three separate occasions and finished the day clocking a 1:29.196s.

Although Vergne didn’t have it all his own way, as he lost his rear wing following an incident in the morning session. The weather was much more favourable at Donington to the teams and drivers today as the sun was out for the duration of the day.

The returning teams’ champion, Renault e.Dams, along with 2016/17 season newcomers, Jaguar Racing, had an impressive day with both Buemi and Nico Prost (Renault e.Dams) sitting at the top of the timesheets at the end of the morning session. While Mitch Evans (Jaguar Racing) topped the session for the majority of the afternoon. The same can’t be said for Andretti driver Robin Frijns, who caused multiple red flags due to electrical issues.

The final day of pre-season testing starts tomorrow morning at 9am (BST). Follow all the action on www.fiaformulae.com
