Richard Mille Racing’s Tatiana Calderon is embracing the challenge of her and her teammates first season in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The fourth and final Free Practice session concluded with the #8 Toyota at the top of the times with a 3m27.994s.

Kamui Kobayashi put the #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 on pole position for this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. The outright track record holder Kobayashi sealed the top spot with a sensational 3m23.900s lap.

In the final Free Practice session before Hyperpole at 21h00 this evening, the #36 Alpine Elf Matmut A480-Gibson topped the time sheets, with Nicolas Lapierre posting a 3m26.594 lap despite a spin in the latter stages of the session, just three tenths slower than the best time of the weekend so far set by the #7 Toyota GR010 during qualifying.

The WTCR − FIA World Touring Car Cup is set for a different type of adventure with three new venues added to the 2021 calendar to help ensure the full schedule of 16 races across eight events is maintained.

The FIA Formula 3 World Cup, FIA GT World Cup and final round of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup will not feature on the bill of this year’s Macau Grand Prix.

The second Free Practice session was two hours long held in darkness and concluded at midnight. The two Toyotas topped the times, with the #8 GR010-Hybrid the fastest with a 3m29.351, three tenths ahead of the #7 Toyota. The #708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH was third fastest ahead of the #36 Alpine Elf Matmut A480.

The 60-minute session that determines which cars will take part in tomorrow evening’s Hyperpole session saw the #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 and #52 AF Corse Ferrari take the top spots in LMH and LMGTE Pro respectively.

The #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010-Hybrid was the quickest in the first three-hour practice session ahead of this weekend’s 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Jose Maria Lopez posting a 3m29.309 lap time, beating the #36 Alpine Elf Matmut A480-Gibson into second place by just 0.086s and another 0.001s ahead of the #8 Toyota.

The 62 cars that will compete in the 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (21-22 August) lined up for the tradition group shot on the grid at the Circuit de La Sarthe. The 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans is Round 5 of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship.
