Hahn took a clear and straightforward victory in the morning race which the precursor to a much more incident filled second encounter where Steffi Halm scored her second ever FIA ETRC win.

The popular German celebrated with her home fans after a thrilling race which saw the packed 21 truck grid entertain the massive Nürburgring crowd.

Race One
Jochen Hahn took a hugely popular win in his home race at Nürburgring after a fine win in the first of the four FIA European Truck Racing Championship events on Saturday morning.

Driving his Team Hahn MAN, the former triple champion had a perfect start to his home race weekend after converting pole position in to maximum points. With Lacko tailing Hahn to the chequered flag by 3.830s it meant that Hahn captured the points lead by three points heading in to the second, reversed grid event.

Hahn controlled the race and was able to gain a gap on Lacko after defending the lead in to the first corner. By half distance Hahn enjoyed a four second lead to Lacko’s Buggyra International Racing System Freightliner ‘FatFox’.

Race Two

Steffi Halm took a famous victory on home soil after a sensational display of top class FIA European Truck Racing action at Nürburgring on Saturday afternoon.

In winning the race today, Halm claimed her second ever FIA European Truck Racing Championship win after her maiden success last year at Hungaroring.

The flying Reinert Racing driver resisted late race pressure from championship leader Jochen Hahn, who drove one of the races of his career to come from eighth on the grid to second position. Hahn’s result sees him stretch his lead in the championship over Adam Lacko to five points.

Halm crossed the finishing line 1.763s seconds ahead of Hahn who in turn came under late race pressure from Norbert Kiss’ Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz. The Hungarian ace was just 0.891s behind Hahn as the chequered flag was flown.
