Adam Lacko and Jochen Hahn took a win apiece on Sunday at Misano after two entertaining races held in damp conditions.

Lacko and Hahn were the stars of the weekend and their respective results during the Misano races ensure that they are just four points apart in the championship standings.

Steffi Halm emerged as a genuine frontrunner in her first races of 2016, continuing her Saturday form by securing another podium position with second place in race four.

Race Three

Adam Lacko completed a famous hat-trick of victories at Misano in race three as he took the win in wet conditions.

The Buggyra International Racing System driver was made to work for his win as Jochen Hahn pressured him significantly throughout the race. Lacko and Hahn were in a class of their own as they tackled the wet track pulling out a massive gap over the rest of the field.

Despite Hahn’s constant pressure throughout the race and a thrilling ‘cat and mouse’ contest, Lacko was able to take the chequered flag just 0.924 seconds ahead.

Norbert Kiss claimed a first podium position of the season in the new Tankpool24 Racing Mercedes-Benz truck to delight his hardworking team. Kiss drove a superb race and revelled in the level playing field brought by the conditions. The Hungarian double champion was able to overtake Steffi Halm early in the race to set up a strong run to the final podium position.

Race Four

Jochen Hahn topped off a strong weekend by taking the final race win of the weekend at Misano on Sunday afternoon. The German was able to close the point’s deficit to four points (98 to 94) on Adam Lacko, who finished in fifth position after starting from back in eighth place on the reversed grid.

The race began with a drying track after a massive deluge in the run up to the race, which was slightly delayed because of the flooded track. However, with the sun emerging it dried quickly and Sascha Lenz led away from the reverse grid pole position.

Lenz’s lead didn’t last long as he ran wide at the right-hand corner coming off the back straight. This allowed Steffi Halm through and she led confidently until Jochen Hahn latched on to her tail and made his way through on lap four. Once that manoeuvre was completed, Hahn was able to pull away and create a race winning gap, taking the chequered flag with a 4.837s cushion over Halm.
