The Czech driver hustled his Buggyra International Racing System Freightliner ‘FatFox’ to a pair of well-judged victories to ensure that he now leads championship rival Jochen Hahn by just a single point.

It was a day of high drama as Lacko took a wet first race, as he fought his way through from eighth on the grid to take another dramatic win. This time though it involved some controversy, as a collision with Rene Reinert while fighting for the lead settled the result.

In all, a remarkable 123,000 people were at the Nürburgring over the three-day festival of truck racing to see Europe’s finest truck racing drivers go head-to-head.

RACE THREE

Adam Lacko took maximum points from race three at Nürburgring today after a dramatic wet race was enjoyed by a huge crowd on Sunday afternoon.

Lacko dominated proceedings after moving in to the lead after five laps. But a rare error at the final corner with just four laps remaining ensured a sensational race to the flag against Jochen Hahn.
The race had started under the pace truck and the first racing lap was conducted under yellow flags.

Still, Jochen Hahn was able to open up an immediate advantage over fellow front row starter Rene Reinert, who ran wide at the first corner to allow Adam Lacko through in to second position.

The Czech driver, an acknowledged wet weather ace, reeled in Hahn quickly and by the start of lap five he was able to challenge and take the lead with a decisive move on the inside at turn one.

From there, Lacko looked as though he was going to take his Buggyra International Racing System truck well clear of Hahn, but on lap eight he made an error at the final corner and speared through the gravel, losing the lead as he recovered.

RACE FOUR

Adam Lacko took his second win of the day at the Nürburgring on Sunday evening after a dramatic final race which saw Lacko emerge as the new leader in the title fight by just a single point.

The Buggyra International Racing System driver came from eighth on the reversed grid to win in contentious circumstances after an incident with Rene Reinert decided the race on lap ten.

An incredible 123,000 fans witnessed the FIA European Truck Racing Championship action over the weekend at Nürburgring. They saw some unforgettable action from Europe’s best and most committed truck racers.
The race start saw pole sitter Jiri Forman overtaken by fellow front row starter Anthony Janiec (Lion Truck Racing MAN) on the run down to turn one. Forman, competing in his first FIA ETRC season, also lost second position to a flying Rene Reinert, who immediately set after leader Janiec.

Reinert snatched the lead on lap two but then survived going straight-on at the Veedol Chicane, after contact with Janiec who had fought back to regain the lead. It cost Reinert a track limits warning, but he continued despite appearing to make an advantage as he by-passed the chicane.
