Audi Fastest in Final Track Session Before the Le Mans 24 Hours

In the final track session before the start of the 24 Heures du Mans at 3pm today the three Audi R18s posted the fastest times in the 45-minute warm up session.

The no9 Audi R18 e-tron quattro set the pace with a 3m19.423 lap ahead of the two WEC full season entries with the no8 Audi ahead of the no7 R18.  The pole position holder for this afternoon's race, the no18 Porsche 919, was 4th fastest.

The fastest LMP2 competitor was the no38 JOTA Sport Gibson with 3m39.559 lap.  The fastest WEC entered car, the pole position holding KCMG Oreca 05 was third fastest in warm up with a 3m39.960.

The no97 Aston Martin Racing Vantage was the quickest car in the LMGTE Pro class with a 3m57.311, while the fastest LMGTE Am was the no88 Abu Dhabi - Proton Racing Porsche 911 with a time of 3m59.456.

The no21 and 23 Nissan GT-Rs, the no45 Ibanez Racing Oreca, the no92 Porsche Team Manthey 911 and the no95 and no96 Aston Martin Racings Vantage V8s all didn't take part in the warm up.

The Larbre Corvette went off at Porsche Curves into the barriers.  The team is working hard on the car to repair in time for this afternoon's race.

The Le Mans 24 Hours will start at 15h00 this afternoon.
