The FIA International Hill Climb Cup is an FIA's competition created in 2014, resulting form the merge between FIA European Hill Climb Cup and FIA International Hill Climb Challenge. Unlike circuit racing, each driver competes alone, starting from a point at the base of a mountain and reaching a finish point near the summit. The FIA International Hill Climb Cup allows single-seater cars, open-cockpit sports prototypes, and touring cars with varying degrees of technical preparation

No registration with the FIA is required. Competitors and Drivers register their entry directly with the Organiser on each of the FIA International Hill Climb Cup Competitions. Applications to take part in the FIA Competition must be submitted to the Organiser by means of the entry form available...

It is an extremely intense race for the driver, albeit a short one – a race against time on a narrow, winding road with an average length of between 5 and 7km.
