Exactly 2 weeks after the Formula One event, the big truck will compete for the victory. In this beautiful area, the battle for the head of the overall standings should be very interesting! Norbert Kiss and Antonio Albacete have the same points: 129! Never the competition was so close. This year we have really a high competition level. Just behind them, Jochen Hahn is 13 points less and all can change in one race. So now, all these drivers know that they have to score on each race because each point is very important! Like last year, the Austrian Markus Altenstrasser will drive his beautiful Iveco truck from Team Schwaben. You will see 2 Iveco at the Red Bull Ring circuit because Kerd Körber is also on the entry list and the Italian top management will also be there to support the Italian brand.
Notice also a “new” comer for this season, the Belgium Jean-Pierre Blaise will drive a MAN from the Lion Truck Racing. Jean Pierre was last year on Renault but during the winter he changed is truck and now In fact he runs the same truck that Javier Mariezcurrena. As you may know, FIA regulation allowed 2 drivers on the same machine, and Javier split is truck with Jean-Pierre. A new experience for the Belgium driver but for sure a pleasure for the visitors as Jean Pierre driving style is impressive.
