In his capacity as President of the FIA and UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety, Jean Todt was invited to Madrid on 26 April for an audience with the King of Spain, Felipe VI. He attended this meeting with Mr Carmelo Sanz de Barros, President of the Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE), which is affiliated to the FIA. Amongst other things, he presented his activities to promote road safety around the world, the FIA #3500Lives international campaign and the new United Nations Road Safety Trust Fund.
