The 11 th season of the FIA World Endurance Championship will feature an impressive 13 Hypercar entries, with involvement from a total of nine manufacturers highlighting the continued growth of the world’s premier international sportscar championship.

With the support of the Mapfre Foundation, FIA Member Club the Touring y Automóvil Club de Colombia organised Mobility Workshops at the national level to raise awareness among young people (from kindergarten to grade 11) about Safe, Healthy and Sustainable Mobility. 80,746 children and adolescents from 120 public and private educational institutions took part in the workshop from June to November 2022.

One of the ongoing goals of the FIA is to expand its horizons and open the world of motor sport through equality, diversity and inclusion. FIA President Ben Sulayem and his team are working hard to ensure opportunities within the sport are not limited by origin, gender, religion and finance, and one of the key targets is to increase regional competitiveness and double motor sport participation by 2025.

Toyota were dominant at the end of the first week of the 45 th Dakar Rally and the Japanese manufacturer reached the rest day in Riyadh with four cars inside the top five and Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah and his co-driver Mathieu Baumel winning three stages and leading the event by 1hr 03min 36sec.

The number 43 has been withdrawn from use in this year's FIA World Rally Championship as a mark of respect to motor sport icon Ken Block.

Israel has successfully held its first-ever Hill Climb race, marking a historic day for the country's motor sport industry. The Israel Automobile and Karting Association (ILAKA) supervised the event and worked closely with local authorities and police to obtain the necessary permits.

Ken Block, who passed away following a snowmobile accident in the United States on January 2, has been described as a “visionary” and an “inspiration for all”.

Starting point of this year's Dakar, a presentation of the 2023 calendar was held at the Sea Camp (Saudi Arabia) to mark the launch of the second season of the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship.

The 45 th Dakar Rally will kick off another season of FIA world motor sport and, for the second year, the event will be the opening round of the expanded FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) that will also visit Abu Dhabi, new events in Mexico and Argentina and finish in Morocco.
