On 3 June, FIA Member Club the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (PZM) organised a Bicycle Rally on the Vistula River in Warsaw at the occasion of the UN World Bicycle Day 2022 and raised awareness of road safety during a picnic organised at the Polish Prime Minister’s Chancellery’s Gardens. Supported by the FIA Road Safety Grants Programme through its “Global Action” stream, these two initiatives reached about 2,000 people.

CUPRA EKS driver Mattias Ekström was crowned King of the Weekend in a thrilling third round of the 2022 FIA ETCR eTouring Car World Cup for Race SP at Circuito Madrid Jarama-RACE at an event of extreme heat, bracing winds and electrifying action.

FIA Member Club Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club (ADAC Germany) held its general meeting in Wiesbaden under the motto ‘Mobility. Sustainability. Innovation.’. The 220 attending members approved the expansion of services to include health and home, and were presented with a positive annual result.

On 21 June, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the FIA Foundation held a Forum on Safe & Healthy Mobility in London entitled ‘Design for Life. For People & Planet’. The Forum brought together international policymakers to review progress in meeting the UN global targets to reduce road deaths and serious injuries ahead of the first-ever UN High Level Meeting on road safety (that will be held on 30 June), and to discuss air quality improvement and decarbonisation of road transportation.

Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine saw a double pole position and a double win in Zandvoort for Prema Racing driver, Paul Aron. In Formula 4 Italy we saw a brilliant hat trick (3 victories) for Andrea Kimi Antonelli in Spa Francorchamps and cameback in the championship battle, just 3 points behind Camara.

Round 4 of the 2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be the 55th Mecsek Rallye in Hungary, which is based in the ancient city of Pecs. 21 cars will compete, with 20 eligible for championship points at the end of the event. There are 11 cars entered in Category 4, 5 in Category 3, 3 in Category 2 and 2 in Category 1.

Members of the World Council for Automobile Mobility and Tourism (WCAMT) met today at the FIA headquarters in Paris, and online, to review recent developments in the field of mobility and define new strategies for the future.

The world’s finest esports competitors are set to take part in the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games, with Esports confirmed as one of the 17 competition disciplines for the second edition of the event being staged 26-30 October in Marseille.
