Day one of the final pre-season test in Donington ended with Jean-Eric Vergne in his Techeetah top of the timing sheets with a 1:29:640. Vergne was just six thousands off his lap record from the first day of testing at the previous outing.

Today’s running was interrupted by multiple red flags caused by debris and from the MS Amlin Andretti and the Faraday Future Dragon Racing machines, as the drivers were clearly pushing hard around a damp track at the start of the day, although the sun made an appearance during the afternoon session.

The two Jaguar Racing cars of Adam Carroll and Mitch Evans ran well as they topped the timesheets at certain stages of the day. The two Renault e.dams drivers and Jose-Maria Lopez in the DS Virgin Racing cars, set the most laps of anyone with 42 each.

Lopez also topped the morning session with a lap time of 1:34:501.
