At 15h00 the competitors will take to the start ramp in the centre of Klatovy to begin the 28th Historic Vltava, Round 2 of the 2019 FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship.

Yesterday 41 cars were presented to the scrutineers to complete the pre event technical and administration checks.  Two of the entrants failed scrutineering and will not be able to start the rally today.

The no3 Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 of Daniel Alonso was found to not be in compliance with the Historic Technical Passport (HTP) issued in February 2019 (Stewards Decision no 1).  The competitor was given the opportunity to make changes to the car but a mechanical issue with the car on the shake down meant it couldn’t make the start.

The no7 Porsche 911 RSR of Anders Johnsen was found to have a fuel tank that had an invalid certificate, which had expired in February 2019 (Stewards Decision no 2).  The competitor was given the option to fit a new fuel tank but was unable to do so before the start of the rally.

The no20 Ford Escort RS 1600 of Vesa Rissanen was also found to have a fuel tank that wasn’t in compliance.  The team are in the process of sourcing a new fuel tank and will be allowed to take the start if the car passes scrutineering ahead of the 15h00 start time. (Stewards Decision no3)

Forty five cars, including the no20 Ford Escort, are due to take the start and take part in the six special stages that will be held on Friday 26 April.
