Coronavirus (COVID-19): the FIA is closely monitoring the evolving situation

Following the COVID-19 global pandemic that broke out at the beginning of the year, the FIA is closely monitoring the evolving situation with its Member Clubs and relevant authorities including Governments and WHO, under the direction of FIA Medical Commission President, Professor Gérard Saillant. The FIA will evaluate the calendar of its forthcoming races and, if necessary, take any action required to help protect the global motor sport community and the wider public.

In the wake of the United Kingdom’s National Sporting Authority - Motorsport UK’s decision to extend its suspension of all motor sport events until at least 30 June 2020, Round 1 of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, due to take place from 22-25 May at Santa Pod Raceway, has been cancelled.
