This weekend, two all-female crews will again line up for the world’s most famous and mythical endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans (August 21-22). As full-time racers in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the six FIA Women in Motorsport Commission-supported drivers - competing with the Richard Mille Racing Team and Iron Lynx in the Iron Dames project – will take their place on the 61-car grid for the 89th edition of the race.

On the occasion of the 89th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the FIA and ACO have prolonged the Accords Le Mans agreement and are set to continue the successful collaboration, together building the future of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The World Series Showdown marks the midway point of the "FIA Certified Gran Turismo Championships" 2021 Series, where both series, the Nations Cup and Manufacturer Series, feature three races with points determining the final standings. A maximum of 10 World Series Point will be also awarded to the top drivers and teams.

The 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship calendar, which was announced today, will see the championship return to three continents next season.

Richard Mille Racing’s Tatiana Calderon is embracing the challenge of her and her teammates first season in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The fourth and final Free Practice session concluded with the #8 Toyota at the top of the times with a 3m27.994s.

Kamui Kobayashi put the #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 on pole position for this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. The outright track record holder Kobayashi sealed the top spot with a sensational 3m23.900s lap.

In the final Free Practice session before Hyperpole at 21h00 this evening, the #36 Alpine Elf Matmut A480-Gibson topped the time sheets, with Nicolas Lapierre posting a 3m26.594 lap despite a spin in the latter stages of the session, just three tenths slower than the best time of the weekend so far set by the #7 Toyota GR010 during qualifying.

The WTCR − FIA World Touring Car Cup is set for a different type of adventure with three new venues added to the 2021 calendar to help ensure the full schedule of 16 races across eight events is maintained.
