The #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar takes comfortable victory in 89th running of 24 Hours of Le Mans. Jose-Maria Lopez, Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway seal victory to finally take win after several years of frustration at Le Mans and become first ever Hypercar race at Le Mans. They finish 2 laps ahead of the #8 GR010 and 4 laps in front of the third placed #36 Alpine Elf Matmut A480.

With 18 hours completed the #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 of Kamui Kobayashi is leading having completed 274 laps, nearly one lap ahead of the #8 Toyota of Sebastien Buemi. Buemi slowed and stopped at the side of the track. The Swiss driver did a reset on the #8 GR010 at the top of the hour and was soon back up to speed.

The #7 Toyota GR010 HYBRID leads at quarter distance after brief shower causes several accidents at start of the sixth hour. Kamui Kobayashi drives majority of the third to sixth hours before handing over to Jose-Maria Lopez, who maintains healthy lead over sister Toyota driven by Brendan Hartley.

After heavy rain saw the race start behind the Safety Car, there was drama at the first corner as the #708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH hit the #8 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010. There were plenty of spinners and gravel trap moments as the tricky conditions caught drivers out.
