Eleven of the 30 entrants in the provisional entry list for the FIA F3 World Cup at the Macau Grand Prix in November have won a Formula 3 championship race this year.
The German make scored a drivers’-manufacturers’ double in Macau thanks to Maro Engel’s victory and Renger van der Zande’s fourth place. René Rast (Audi) and Stefan Mücke (Aston Martin) filled the other two steps on the podium.
Maro Engel (Mercedes-Benz was declared winner of the qualifying event after Stefan Mücke (Aston Martin), who crossed the line in first place, was given a 10-second penalty, so he will start on pole for tomorrow’s main race for the FIA GT World Cup.
