The FIA and its Women in Motorsport Commission are pleased to announce the fourth edition of the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars project, with the opening of registrations.

On International Women's Day, the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission and its President, Deborah Mayer, reaffirm their commitment to growing women's participation at all levels of motor sport – an environment in which women and men can compete on equal terms. Through the continuation of existing projects and the development of new ones, the Commission continues to foster passion, grow participation and to show that equal opportunities exist in every sphere of the sport.

OMDAI SPORT MEXICO has hosted the Girls on Track initiative for the third year in a row, with the Formula E event garnering enthusiastic and unprecedented interest from over 1,000 young girls across Mexico.

For the first time, an FIA Girls on Track event was held in Asia, Jakarta on June 3rd ahead of the ABB FIA Formula E race. It was an exciting experience for 100 local girls, supported by FIA member club, Ikatan Motor Indonesia.

Maya Weug, the Dutch/Belgian driver born in Spain, has made history not only by becoming the first FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars driver to join the Ferrari Driver Academy, but the first-ever female to do so.

Our four finalists visited Maranello, renowned worldwide as the home of Ferrari and the Scuderia Ferrari, the only team to have taken part in all the Formula 1 World Championship seasons. After the mandatory PCR tests prior to arrival in Italy, as well as on-site at the Academy, the drivers have undertaken a full medical, nutritional and physical assessment, as well as a media workshop and technical training. Some of these educational modules aim to train the drivers to use their talent in the best possible way and learn how to communicate effectively.

The four FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars drivers taking part in the final and decisive Scouting Camp have now completed their five-day training and assessment at the world-famous Ferrari Driver Academy.

The four FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars drivers have now spent two full days immersed in the world-famous Ferrari Driver Academy as part of the final phase of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission’s innovative talent detection and nurturing programme.
