On 14 June, a new road safety initiative, aiming to reduce vehicle speeds around schools, was launched in Kitwe, Zambia by Mayor Mpansa Mwaya. This initiative is supported by the FIA Foundation, through its Child Health Initiative, as well as by the Zambia Road Safety Trust and FIA Member Club the Zambia Motor Sport Association.

Paris Brain Institute’s Cohort Covid Neuroscience project is studying the neurological and psychiatric consequences of SARS-CoV-2 infection over the course of one year. This unique study focuses on two aspects: the direct effects of Covid-19 on the central nervous system and the impact of the infection on patients suffering from neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis.

The Paris Brain Institute, in partnership with the AP-HP, Sorbonne-Université, Medico-University Department of Neurosciences at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, with grant of €400,000 from the FIA Foundation - historical patron of the Institute with a focus on public health - and support from FIA, is launching a major study to rapidly and accurately assess all the potential neurological and psychiatric impacts of Covid-19 on affected patients, with the aim of improving patient management, follow-up and rehabilitation.
