The no17 Porsche of Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley took pole position and underlined their pre-season testing pace when the 1m39.721 average lap time was three second faster than the 2014 pole time.

The early morning rain has now cleared and the sunshine made a welcome reappearance at the Silverstone International Circuit in Northamptonshire, UK for the first WEC LMGTE qualifying session of the 2015 season.

The track action came to an end this afternoon at The Prologue, the official pre-season test days at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France, with Porsche laying down an initial marker for its rivals in the 2015 WEC

Porsche made it a clean sweep of leading the session times after the night-time running of the official Prologue WEC test at Circuit Paul Ricard today.
