There are 9 cars entered in Category 4, 9 in Category 3, 10 in Category 2 and 6 in Category 1.

Tibor Erdi Jnr and Zoltan Csoko took their debut win in the FIA European Historic Rally Championship in their home event in Hungary but the loss of four-wheel drive on the final two stages nearly allowed the Lancia Rally 037 of Ville Silvasti and Risto Pietilainen to spoil the party. The Finns finished the tenth and final stage just 0.9 seconds behind the Hungarians.

Hungarian crew Tibor Erdi Jnr and Zoltan Csoko finished the opening day of the 55th Mecsek Rallye at the head of the table after posting the fastest overall time on Stages 3 and 4 in the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4. Erdi and Csoko are just 6.6s ahead of the Audi quattro of ‘Zippo’ and Denis Piceno after the Italian crew set the pace in the two morning stages.

There are 11 cars entered in Category 4, 5 in Category 3, 3 in Category 2 and 2 in Category 1.

After eight gruelling stages on the second day of the Rallye du Chablais in Switzerland, the #2 BMW M3 E30 of Marc Valliccioni and Yoann Raffaelli was the first EHRC car home on the team’s championship debut. Overnight leaders Mats Mysell and Esko Junttila finished in second place, 1m39s behind the BMW.

Round 3 of the 2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in Switzerland, with the Rallye du Chablais making its debut on the FIA EHRC calendar on the 2nd to 4th June. Thirty-five entries have been received by the organisers, with twenty-one competitors eligible for championship points. All of the current championship leaders after Round 2 in the Czech Republic will be competing in Switzerland.

After finishing third at the end of the first leg of the 30th Historic Vltava Rallye, the no1 Audi quattro of reigning Category 3 Champions ‘Zippo’ and Denis Piceno posted the fastest overall time on four of the seven stages to take the finish 23.8 seconds ahead of the no6 Lancia Rally 037 of Ville Silvasti and Risto Pietilainen, the Finns securing the Category 4 win in the Czech Republic.
