New Zealander Hayden Paddon has taken the lead of Rally Argentina after Jari-Matti Latvala rolled in the penultimate stage of the day. The Hyundai i20 WRC driver now has three stages and 55.28 competitive kilometres between himself and his first victory in the FIA World Rally Championship, although Sunday’s stages are the roughest and trickiest of the entire rally. Jari-Matti Latvala may continue to lead Rally Argentina but Hayden Paddon has been flying, the Kiwi driver racking up victories in two of the morning’s three stages. At the mid-leg service the gap between the two was 13.3 seconds, Latvala clawing back some time in the third stage. Today was always going to be the day where road position was most marked and Sebastien Ogier, again running at the head of the field, has haemorrhaged time to Latvala and Paddon but continues to hold third.
