At its meeting of July 10th, 2015 in Mexico City, Mexico, the World Motor Sport Council took the following decisions on the basis of proposals from members of the International Karting Commission.

The FIA concluded its World Motor Sport Council meeting today in Mexico City. The meeting was held as part of the FIA Sport Conference 2015, which also included the FIA American Congress, and was organised by the Mexican ASN, the Organizaciόn Mexicana del Deporte Automovilístico Internacional (OMDAI).

The Bugatti circuit at Le Mans will host the second of three Competitions of the 2015 CIK-FIA European Superkart Championship on July 3rd to 5th during the great festival of the ACO.

The PF International circuit lived up to its reputation at the second Competition of the CIK-FIA European KF and KF-Junior Championship.

Resulting from a long and close collaboration between the CIK-FIA and the major manufacturers, the new specification of the 2016 kart engines will be officially presented at the second Competition of the 2015 CIK-FIA European Championship for KF and KF-Junior in Great Britain at the PF International circuit. Simplicity, lightness, performance and cost were the main concerns of the designers of the new OK and OK-Junior engines. The aim is to extend the use of these engines in the various national championships around the world.

The expected hierarchy was confirmed at the first Competition of the 2015 CIK-FIA European Superkart Championship at the Donington Park circuit, where there was both sun and wind. The many British drivers had the opportunity to participate in the British Superkart Grand Prix at the same time using single cylinder engines.

The CIK-FIA European Superkart Championship restarts in 2015 in its classical format, a confrontation based on three Competitions, where only the best five of the six races are counted for the title.

The second Competition of the CIK-FIA European KZ and KZ2 Championship promises epic battles from 21st to 23rd May on the fast track of Zuera in Spain. Also on track will be the first event for the 51 young hopefuls from around the world racing in the 2015 CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, who will now race alongside their elders until the World Championship at Le Mans in September.
