This year, the rally aimed to offset 200,000kg of CO2e, doubling the total carbon footprint of competitors, spectators, and organisers. Half of this was offset immediately through verified carbon reduction units, while the other half will be achieved through local environmental projects in Wales.

The rally, recognised for its sustainability efforts, including Motorsport UK's 2023 Sustainability Award and the FIA 2-star Environmental Accreditation, continues to advance its environmental initiatives. In its third year partnering with Carbon Positive Motorsport, the event has introduced a new carbon offsetting project featuring fast-growing Sequoia and native broadleaf trees in Abergavenny, Wales.

Paul Glass, co-founder of Carbon Positive Motorsport, praised the initiative: “This project is not only unique in the UK, but it’s also externally audited and verified. We believe the 200 tonnes of offsetting achieved this year is a global benchmark for any rally.”
